4th of July Fun in the Sun

Our 4th of July was spent at Rolling Hills Waterpark.  I couldn’t have asked for a better time.  We usually go to Soak City at Cedar Point for the 4th of July.  This year we wanted to be a little closer to home.  This time, Liam got to visit the Petsmart Doggie Day Camp in Ann Arbor.  That dog sure gets around.

Anyways, they had so much for you to do there.  It was very busy but somehow it accommodated everyone comfortably.  They had a wave pool, water activity playground, lazy river, relaxing pool with waterfall and water slides.  It was hard to get the kids out of the wave pool.  They liked to go all the way up to the front where the waves were high and bounce around everywhere.  I would have to say my favorite was the lazy river.  Although it cruised along awful fast for a lazy river.   They also had a nice, affordable concession stand.

I don’t remember when I have had such a relaxing day.  Everything seemed to just fall into place that day.  Except when we were running late to pick up Liam.  We got there just as they were about to lock up.  It turns out they closed much earlier that day since it was the holiday.  Liam didn’t seem to mind.  He just pranced out of the store like he didn’t have a care in the world.

** On another note, I am happy to mention that I used my own template, papers and alphabet in the layout above **
